Wow...I didn't know Bob that many years ago, and had never seen pictures of him that far back. I know he really enjoyed his masonry work.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Cathy Frost. I met Bob in 2008 when he was taking care of his Mom in Ironton, Ohio. I was walking around the trails at Lake Vesuvius, when Bob appeared. He introduced himself, told me about taking care of his Mom. He gave me his Mom's phone number and said to give him a call. We got together and went hiking at Vesuvius, Carter Caves, Paddle Creek - a place out back of Ironton that he dearly loved to walk around...a very pretty place with open fields, a stream, beautiful trees and flowers, of which Bob could name 95% of them. We went dancing a few evenings, and spent many evenings talking with his Mom about life many years ago - stories that were both interesting and fascinating for me. She was a very intelligent lady - as was her son. Bob had such a flair for life - in everything he did. He had a sometimes brusqe exterior at times, but underneath, he had a heart of gold, and was as honest as the day is long. To me, they broke the mold when Bob was born, because he was a beautiful, caring, extremely intelligent man that was at times my guardian angel, and at times my "bestest friend."
I will really miss him - he was unique and special in my life in a way that no one else ever was.
I have some excellent pictures of Bob taken during 2008 & 2009, from different places we went, and at his Mom's house. I will either be uploading these to Photobucket, or if I have a problem with that, I will send them to Al and Emily and let them upload them. I have created an account with Photobucket, but am having a problem with my computer being slow to get them uploaded. The account on Photobucket is CatFrostKY.
